Why there are no Peter Handke books available

I don't know how it started, I was reading something and clicked the link and then another link. I guess it must have been about Handke book 'Justice for Serbia'. I tried to look it up on Amazon as it seemed to offer unbiased views on NATO aggresion that Serbia had to endure and still does in a way.

Anyhow, click here and there, book is nowhere to be found. You can find ton of crappy Da Vinci encodings but can't find Handke book, since when is that? There were one for $103! Huh.

Now I remember, some theater in France removed his play because they read something in the paper. Let's talk about insecurity of person who puts someone play on stage and then reads somewhere that someone said that someone else said…

And when you think about it, those french are somewhat progressive in otherwise dark Europe, naah they are just like others. You can find more about this here and here. And one book review that seems to make sense here.
Anyhow, I found the book, one copy and since it is such a rarity, ordered. Maybe I can read it and sell it on Ebay for handsome profit. I think Handke might have liked that. Seems that there are booksellers online like http://www.alibris.com/ who do have his books.

So, this whole thing made me read a lot more about him (shame on me for not reading it sooner). When I read about him and how much he is attacked it really makes you wonder, does anyone else really uses their brain for anything, how come that there is just this one guy and maybe few others to be able to have independent opinion not derived from daily news.

I am waiting for the book to arrive in the meantime but this whole thing made me think, how horribly is it to have such a censorship today in the age of internet, not to be able to find information.
